Mathematics and Technology Program

1. Mathematics: The Vietnamese Mathematics Program: BMS Hung Yen students study the core mathematics curriculum prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), along with BMS’s enhanced mathematics program for students who demonstrate strong mathematical thinking abilities from Grade 1.

2. Information Technology: Primary students at BMS Hung Yen are introduced to an international information technology program starting from Grade 1.

3. STEAM: The STEAM program at BMS Hung Yen equips students with knowledge and skills across five fields: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Students apply what they have learned to solve real-life problems while developing essential competencies such as creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication skills.


Languages and Social Sciences

Vietnamese: BMS Hung Yen integrates the Vietnamese Language Program of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) with enriched, advanced, and supplementary teaching content. Primary students are ensured proficiency in Vietnamese listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in accordance with grade-level standards through common assessments. The enhanced Vietnamese program at BMS Hung Yen is designed for students with outstanding language abilities.

English and International Programs

Standard Track (Track A): The English program follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), helping students build a strong foundation while focusing on the development of all four language skills. The expected learning outcome is CEFR Level A1.

History and Geography

Course content is structured into project-based learning activities, enabling students to plan, explore, and implement projects independently with the guidance of teachers and parents. Through project work, students develop essential 21st-century skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, and communication.

Arts

With the goal that students will master at least one of the three art disciplines after completing 12 years of general education at BMS Hung Yen—Visual Arts, Music, or Dance—the arts program provides comprehensive exposure from Grade 1. Students engage in Visual Arts (painting, sculpture, design, and appreciation), Music (vocal training, musical instruments, and appreciation), and Dance (dance and movement).

Physical Education and Movement

BMS Hung Yen Primary School implements the Physical Education curriculum prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training, enhanced with specialized sports such as swimming and football.

Skills Development and Career Orientation

Leadership Skills (Leader in Me): Helps students develop the ability to respond to social changes, take ownership of their learning, and act proactively. The program aims for holistic student development.

Financial Literacy (Junior Achievement): A program focusing on financial management, career orientation, and entrepreneurship. Students are equipped with practical financial knowledge and essential skills such as teamwork, goal setting, and planning. Through this program, students gain a better understanding of their abilities, interests, and values, enabling them to make informed financial decisions.

Life and Survival Skills: Primary students at BMS Hung Yen are equipped with essential survival knowledge and practical life skills necessary for daily living.

Natural Sciences

BMS Hung Yen students study Science from Grade 4 following the Vietnamese curriculum, combined with extended content from the STEAM program to provide a more comprehensive and practical understanding of the natural sciences.

Extracurricular Programs

Extracurricular activities at BMS Hung Yen Primary School are diverse and enriching, helping students expand real-world knowledge, develop essential qualities, strengthen self-leadership, and build life skills such as self-care, health awareness, fire safety, drowning prevention, and personal safety.

After-school Clubs and Summer Camp

Beyond regular school hours, students can participate in After-school Clubs to explore their interests and talents in areas such as Science, English, Skills Development, Sports, and Arts. The Summer Camp program, held during the summer, offers students engaging activities to explore themselves and the world around them.
