Language and Social Sciences
Literature: BMS Hung Yen integrates the Literature Curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Training with enhanced, advanced, and supplementary teaching content, along with literature projects and reading culture activities. Lower Secondary students at BMS Hung Yen are ensured to achieve language and literature competencies in accordance with common assessment standards. The enhanced Literature program is designed for students with outstanding abilities in Literature.
English and International Programs
Standard Track (Track A): The English program follows the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), helping students master foundational knowledge while focusing on the development of all four language skills. The program targets an A1 CEFR exit level.
History and Geography
The content of these subjects is structured into projects that allow students to plan and explore knowledge independently, with guidance from teachers and parents. Through project-based learning, students develop essential 21st-century citizenship skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, creative thinking, and communication skills.
Arts
Lower Secondary students at BMS Hung Yen continue to study all artistic disciplines, including Visual Arts (painting, modeling, design, aesthetic appreciation) and Music (vocal music, musical instruments, music appreciation, and dance), in accordance with the curriculum prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, along with BMS’s enhanced programs. The enhanced programs are organized in the form of Clubs to focus on developing students’ specialized talents.
Physical Education and Sports
Lower Secondary students at BMS Hung Yen follow the Physical Education curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, with additional in-depth sports such as football, badminton, and swimming.
Skills and Career Orientation
- BMS Hung Yen Skills Program: Helps students develop skills to respond to social changes, master knowledge and actions, and cultivate habits that prepare them to become successful individuals in the future.
- Financial Mindset Development and Young Entrepreneurs Program (Junior Achievement): This program provides training in Financial Management, Career Orientation, and Entrepreneurship. The JA program equips students with knowledge on setting personal financial goals, building essential foundations of a successful entrepreneur, discovering personal strengths, identifying suitable career paths, and developing their careers. The program helps students self-assess their abilities, interests, and values, make prudent financial decisions, and orient their future careers.
Natural Sciences
Lower Secondary students at BMS Hung Yen experience and conduct experiments in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Training curriculum and BMS Hung Yen’s enhanced program in modern, well-equipped Physics and Chemistry laboratories.
Extracurricular Programs
A wide variety of student activities in terms of types, content, and formats help students develop essential competencies and qualities, enabling them to adapt effectively to societal development. BMS Hung Yen Lower Secondary School places special emphasis on experiential learning and career orientation activities. Through interdisciplinary learning projects and career-oriented experiences, students develop essential competencies for learning and life, such as communication and collaboration skills, problem-solving and creativity, and career orientation competencies. Events often carry unique themes, and students are encouraged to actively register and participate.
After-school Clubs and Summer Camp
After-school Program
Beyond regular school hours, students can register to participate in After-school Clubs to develop talents or pursue personal passions and interests, such as academic clubs (Chinese, English), skills-based clubs, sports clubs (football, swimming), and arts clubs (design, vocal music, musical instruments).
Summer Camp Program
The Summer Camp program is specially designed and organized for each age group, offering students opportunities to explore themselves and the world. Summer Camp programs are held annually during the summer, including both domestic and international camps.
Domestic summer camps provide opportunities for students to experience activities that may not be available during the regular academic year.
